What to Expect on Your Adventure Motorcycle Tour

What a Day on Tour Looks Like

Every LORAAND tour is designed to provide a safe, enjoyable, and memorable day of adventure riding. While every route is different, the outline below gives an idea of what a typical day on tour may look like. 

Example Tour Schedule

08:30 – Meet, introductions, and rider briefing

09:00 – Set off and begin the day's ride

Morning – Explore scenic green lanes and trails with regular stops to enjoy the views and surroundings

Midday – Lunch stop

Afternoon – Continue the adventure, exploring a variety of terrain, trails, and countryside routes

Refreshment Stop – A final break before the last section of the ride

Approximately 17:00 – Return and tour debrief

Rider Levels

Beginner
Suitable for riders who are new to green laning or have limited off-road experience. Routes are chosen to help build confidence and develop fundamental off-road riding skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.


Intermediate
Designed for riders with some green lane or off-road experience who are comfortable riding on a variety of surfaces and terrain. Expect more challenging routes and a wider range of obstacles.

  • Riding equipment or protective gear 
  • Motorcycle insurance 
  • Breakdown recovery 
  • Transport to and from the tour start location 
  • Any personal expenses incurred during the day

Additional Information

  • Riders must arrive with a road-legal and fully fuelled motorcycle suitable for the advertised tour level. 
  • Riders must carry a valid driving licence and be able to present it upon request. 
  • Riders must have valid motorcycle insurance.
  • Appropriate riding gear must be worn at all times, including a suitable helmet and protective clothing. 
  • Routes may be adjusted due to weather conditions, trail conditions, rider ability, group requirements, or other unforeseen circumstances. 
  • Riders are expected to ride within their own abilities and follow the guidance provided during rider briefings throughout the day. 
  • Participation is entirely voluntary, and riders are responsible for ensuring they are comfortable with the terrain and conditions encountered during the tour. 
  • Safety, enjoyment, responsible riding, and respect for other countryside users will always take priority.

Weather Policy

  • Adventure riding often means riding in changing weather conditions. 
  • Tours operate in most weather conditions, including rain, wind, and cold temperatures. 
  • Riders should arrive prepared for the forecast and ensure they have suitable riding gear for the conditions. 
  • Routes may be adjusted where necessary due to weather, trail conditions, or rider safety considerations. 
  • If conditions are deemed unsafe, Lorand reserves the right to postpone, cancel, or modify a tour. 
  • Safety will always take priority over completing a planned route or itinerary.
