Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Loraand. By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Terms and conditions

1. Bookings

Your place will be reserved once your booking has been completed and payment has been successfully received.

Following your booking, you will receive a Rider Declaration & Participant Information Form, which must be completed before your participation can be confirmed.

Once your completed declaration has been reviewed and accepted, your booking will be confirmed.

Loraand reserves the right to refuse participation if the Rider Declaration is not completed, contains inaccurate information, or indicates that participation may present an unacceptable safety risk to yourself or others. Where participation is refused, any refund will be considered in accordance with our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

2. Rider Requirements

Participants must:

  • Hold a valid motorcycle licence appropriate for the motorcycle being ridden.
  • Ride a road-legal motorcycle.
  • Ensure their motorcycle is taxed, insured and has a valid MOT where legally required.
  • Ensure their motorcycle is in a safe and roadworthy condition.
  • Wear suitable protective motorcycle clothing throughout the tour.
  • Wear an approved motorcycle helmet that complies with current UK legal requirements.

Loraand reserves the right to refuse participation if these requirements are not met.

3. Fitness to Ride

Participants must arrive fit to ride.

You must not attend while under the influence of alcohol or drugs that impair your ability to ride safely.

If you have any medical condition or are taking medication that could affect your ability to ride safely, this must be disclosed in your Rider Declaration.

4. Guided Tours

Loraand provides guided recreational rides, not motorcycle training or instruction.

Participants remain responsible for their own riding decisions, speed and actions at all times.

You must comply with all road traffic laws and follow the guide's instructions throughout the tour.

5. Risk Acknowledgement

Off-road motorcycle riding involves inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated, even when routes are carefully planned and guided.

Despite careful planning and route selection, accidents may occur which could result in:

  • Damage to motorcycles
  • Damage to equipment
  • Personal injury
  • Serious injury
  • Death

By participating, you acknowledge these risks and accept responsibility for your own participation.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

6. Weather

Tours operate in most weather conditions.

Tours will only be cancelled or postponed where weather or route conditions make it unsafe to continue.

If Loraand cancels a tour, customers will be offered either:

  • an alternative date, or
  • a full refund.

7. Cancellations

By booking a tour, you are reserving a limited place and committing to attend on the selected date.

Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.

If you are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances or an emergency, please contact me as soon as possible. I appreciate that unexpected situations can arise, and while I can't guarantee a refund or transfer, I'll always take the time to consider each situation individually and do my best to find a fair outcome.

8. Cancellation by Loraand

Loraand reserves the right to cancel, postpone or alter a tour due to:

  • Severe weather
  • Route closures
  • Illness
  • Mechanical issues
  • Safety concerns
  • Insufficient participant numbers
  • Other circumstances beyond reasonable control
  • Government restrictions

Where possible, customers will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

9. Behaviour

Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards:

  • Other riders
  • Members of the public
  • Landowners
  • Other road users

Dangerous, reckless or aggressive riding will not be tolerated.

Loraand reserves the right to remove any participant from the tour without refund if their behaviour compromises safety.

Any participant removed from the tour due to unsafe or unacceptable behaviour will not be entitled to a refund.

10. Motorcycle Damage

Participants are responsible for ensuring their motorcycle is appropriately insured and for any damage to their own motorcycle, equipment or personal belongings.

Loraand accepts no responsibility for mechanical failures, punctures or accidental damage occurring during the tour unless caused by its own negligence.

If a participant's motorcycle suffers a mechanical failure during the tour, Loraand will make every reasonable effort to assist, including, where safe and appropriate, using recovery equipment to help move the motorcycle to a suitable location. However, participants remain responsible for arranging and paying for the recovery and transportation of their motorcycle should it be unable to continue.

11. Photography & Video

Photographs and video may be taken during tours.

These may be used for:

  • Social media
  • Website
  • Marketing
  • Promotional material

Participants may opt out by indicating this on their Rider Declaration.

12. Personal Data

Personal information is collected solely for:

  • Managing your booking
  • Emergency contact purposes
  • Tour administration

Information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

13. Changes to Bookings

Requests to transfer to another available tour date will be considered where possible but cannot be guaranteed.

14. Liability

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence where such liability cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to applicable law, participants are responsible for their own riding decisions and accept the inherent risks associated with off-road motorcycling.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
